PREPARE FOR HOT WEATHER IN CITIES AND COLD IN THE MOUNTAINS
No matter when you are visiting the counties the temperature in cities and mountains can differ a lot. Late spring and early autumn are the best time to take Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan tour. If you travel at this time be prepare that the average temperature in cities can be raised to 30+C or 35+C (day time) and be dropped to 8+C 10+C in mountains.
Despite the close location of the countries the weather conditions are different. When it’s really hot in Uzbekistan you can cold in Kyrgyzstan. So it’s better to take both light and warm clothes.
There is a lot to see and do in Central Asia. You’ll likely be moving from city to city every few days. Besides don’t forget about land border between the countries (if you will not take a flight).
That’s why packing light will help minimize the hassle of unpacking and repacking. Also it will lighten the load when you have to carry your bags in airport, trains and land border. You don’t need much to exploring the countries so a carry on size backpack/bag should be more than enough.

If you start exploring the region from Kyrgyzstan keep in mind that shopping options in mountains are very limited and can only be found in the capital and on Issyk Kul Lake. So it’s extra important to think through what you need to bring before departure.
